PHOTOGRAPHIC TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA
Just as South Africa finds itself capturing the hearts of unknowing visitors, in return, many feel the need to capture the magnetism, to hold the beauty of this magnificent country. Though little memorabilia manages to embody the place from which it comes, a photograph is a window that can open the memories and emotions of an experience in a way that often allows it to be tangible once more.
This kind of tour can be constructed for those who have an interest in exploring South Africa in a more intensive, lengthier bout for small groups with a photographic interest. It is designed to give visitors a diversified, cumulative glimpse into the real substance of the nation. While it is a photography tour, all levels of photographers - beginner to professional - are encouraged to join the adventure and take away the beauty of our country through the eye of their camera.
The journey begins among the stunning vistas and the cultural richness of Zululand. It winds its away through the colourful Botshabelo Village, through the Mkuze and Hluhluwe Game Reserves, and into the tribal heart of Kwazu Natal with a stopover in the oldest cultural village - Shakaland - of the region. A scenic drive to the tropical heat baked city of Durban, and a cross national flight situates all for the second half of the itinerary in the Western Part of the country. We'll explore the coastlines of small fishing villages at dawn, journey to view the ostriches loping about Oudtshoorn - the entrance to the vast dry Karoo, and inhale the pheromones of the rolling Winelands surrounding the cosmopolitan jewel of Cape Town. The tour concludes with a final few days in the "Mother City" and the quintessential Table Mountain shot that graces each and every roll of film ever shot in South Africa.
